Welcome to Crooked Creek Farm

Crooked Creek Farm is a small private facility located in Woodstock, GA.  We offer lessons, boarding and training.   Our goal is to provide top notch care for the horses and to teach others all the joys that comes with loving horses.  At our farm everyone is family.  We focus on hunter/jumpers and dressage at this time, however all disciplines are welcome.

Crooked Creek Farm was started April of 2002.  It begain with one person just looking to keep her hosres somewhere and has become a very special place.  At the beginning it was boarding only until there became a demand for lessons by our instructor, Carolyn Hansen.  We now offer lessons and training in addition to quality boarding.  Every day we are growing and making changes for the better, come join our family and watch us grow.

About Carolyn:      Carolyn is a young woman who started this farm with a vision.  Over the past few years she has devoted herself to creating something more than she had ever hoped for.  Carolyn begain riding in kindergarden though it wasn't untill she was 9 years old until she started competing.
She has been trained by many fine instructors including but not limited to the following: Chris Elliott, Hank Bloom, Trisha (Rosewood Farm), Suzzane King (Teamwork Dressage) Dawn Secontine (Academy of Equestian Arts)  and former Olympic instructor  Galale Abdula and his wife Pam (El Gazera Riding Academy)
She has done most of her competing on the Arabian show circut and has won many titles over the years.  After an accident when she was 17 she begain working with the special olympics where she donated much of her time.  This was the start to her becoming and instructor.  She started giving lessons at small farms and grew her clientel by word of mouth only.  Each summer she donates a week of her time to be an instructor at the Arabian Youth Jamboree which is open to all breeds and disciplines.  Here she would teach those who were just learning as well as instruct youth riders that are national competitors.  She has now expanded to judging schooling shows and is always continuing her education as a rider, instructor and judge.
