Here is a bit of information about our lesson horses.
Country Tidbit
Tidbit is a 16 year Quarter horse . He is absoulutely child safe and wonderful for beginners. This horse is bombproof! He has been shown Hunters o/f 2' and is ready to take your child to his or her first show.
JHP Khrsma
Khrsma is a 20 year old Arabian mare. This horse has proven to be a great beginner horse. She spent many years being shown on the Arabian "A" circut and at the region XII regionals in the JTR Hunter O/F 2'9". She was also used in a riding program for the disabled and was ridden in the special olympics.
Jessie
Jessie is a 20 year old Quarter hosre mare. The above picture is of Jessie with a 6 year old beginner rider in a lesson. Jessie is owned by on of our advanced riders that has gone to college. She has been shown in crossrails up to 2'6" hunters.
Poco Bill Senbar
Cinnamon is a Quarter horse gelding that was once a barrel racing horse and over the past few years has become a hunter. He started being shown over crossrails and was getting blue ribbions from the start. He has been shown in hunters 2'6" and eventing.
We offer lessons from beginner to advanced hunter/jumpers. We feel that it is important for riders to learn basic horsemanship. Our riders learn to ride with confidence if to be for competitive or casual riding.
My goal as an instructor is to teach others the joys of these amazing animals. I feel that the beginners are the future of the industry and it is important for them to have an appreciation for horses and the outdoors.
We would also like to welcome our new Assistant Trainer Allyson Wesley to the farm as we strive to better our lesson program we can now offer lessons nearly everyday of the week and will expand our capability to go to shows more frequently and continue lessons without disruption.
