Please remember that you should be mounted and in the ring by the start time of your lesson. If you enter the ring late it is your lost time. I appologize in advance for any set backs I may have so I depend greatly on you guys to help others and to be on time to avoid set backs. Occationally some lessons may overlap by 5 min or so but I do try to avoid this.
Whats needed for shows? You need, Open check for show, check for trailering, training and tack stall (cost veries on show), checks must be in at least one day in advance, proper show attire including; black velvet helmet, breeches, belt, show shirt, pin (for colar), boots and jacket. All participants must clean horses they will be on, clean tack to be used and pack it in the trailer prior to show. Riders participating in the show are responsible to help pack up and set up going to the show, assisting to care for and feed horses at the barn and show, cleaning and packing up at the end of the show and unpacking at the barn.
Typical cost at shows: Class entry, office fees, shavings, tack stall, stall for show. These cost depend on the show, some shows may have additional fees. Other fees include training, trailering and horse fee (for those that do not own or lease a horse). For the 2008 show season cost will be as follows:
Trailering to common show facilities: Wills Park $35, GA Int. Horse Park $75, Chateau Elan and Rivermont $60
Training per show $50, multiday show $50 for the first day and $25 for each additional day.
Horse fee $25 per day of show
